The past two years SPC has been nurturing a new plant gathering called Fireside - a "new way of doing and being the church." It is partly emerging and partly missional in a traditional context.
Part of the missional shift is a greater awareness of engagement is social justice, with affinity to Sojourners and Brian McLaren's Everything Must Change "Deep Shift" movement.
